Traditional Chinese Medicine
Acupuncture
Fine needle insertion technique is one of the commonly used acupuncture techniques. Fine needles have a thin and flexible body, and the physician uses specific finger strength and techniques to perform various manipulations after needle insertion, such as lifting, thrusting, twisting, vibrating, and scraping.
Other needling techniques include ear acupuncture, scalp acupuncture, eye acupuncture, three-edged needle technique, skin needling technique, subcutaneous needling technique, fire needling technique, plum blossom needling technique, and electroacupuncture.
Moxibustion
- Moxibustion is a external treatment method that involves burning and applying materials primarily made of mugwort (such as moxa wool) to stimulate specific acupoints on the body’s surface. By utilizing the gentle heat and the therapeutic properties of the moxa, moxibustion aims to promote the smooth flow of qi and blood, strengthen the body’s defensive energy, expel pathogenic factors, treat diseases, and prevent illness through the conduction of the meridians.
Sound therapy with tuning forks
Tuning forks can be effectively used on and off the client’s body to balance the nervous system and the etheric field, promoting emotional relaxation, balancing and releasing stress and muscle tension, and enhancing energy levels.
All parts of the body can serve as resonators for tuning forks, although certain bones, such as the spine, sacrum, sternum, and cranial bones, are particularly suitable for enhancing relaxation effects.
Cupping therapy
Cupping therapy is an alternative treatment method that involves creating negative pressure by using heated “cups” to apply suction onto specific areas of the skin, causing congestion, blood stasis, or blistering. By artificially causing blood to leave the circulatory system and accumulate beneath the skin, cupping is sometimes considered a non-invasive bloodletting therapy. Cupping is used as an alternative therapy for various conditions, including fever, chronic lower back pain, poor appetite, indigestion, hypertension, acne, eczema, psoriasis, anemia, post-stroke rehabilitation, nasal congestion, infertility, and menstrual pain.
Integrated Chinese-Western Medicine Service
Integrated Chinese-Western Medicine is an innovative healthcare approach that combines the holistic philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with modern Western medical technology to deliver comprehensive and personalized treatment.
TCM emphasizes natural healing through acupuncture, herbal medicine, and tuina (therapeutic massage) to balance the body’s energy (Qi) and address root causes, while Western medicine excels in rapid symptom relief, advanced diagnostics, and evidence-based interventions. By integrating both systems, patients benefit from immediate relief for acute conditions (e.g., pain or inflammation) and long-term wellness enhancement through TCM’s preventive care. For instance, a patient with chronic pain might receive targeted imaging and anti-inflammatory drugs from Western protocols, paired with acupuncture to improve circulation and reduce recurrence. This synergy is also effective in post-surgery recovery, stress management and suboptimal health management. Customized plans may blend dietary advice, herbal prescriptions, and physiotherapy, ensuring holistic care. Rooted in cultural synergy and patient centered values, this model bridges ancient wisdom and modern science, offering safer, more adaptable solutions for diverse health needs.
